80 square feet suitable for a single as well as a couple. Is it an apartment? A hotel suite? Perhaps both. We started this project with one goal in mind: making people feel like they’re living in total freedom while also enjoying the comforts of a hotel accommodation. In other words, we wanted them to feel like their own welcome guest.

To achieve this, I immediately discarded all traditional and familiar notions of interior design. Instead, I opted for an open space in which living and sleeping areas are mixed together, bouncing off each other within a single environment, and confines are fluid and flexible.

A horizontal line on the wall creates a dialogue between the kitchen and the living room, with no mutual interference. Two floor-to-ceiling sliding doors act as moving backdrops, revealing or concealing the bedroom and the guest bathroom. Spaces shrink and expand dynamically, allowing for some fine-tuning of privacy and openness.

The same concept applies to the sleeping area. The bedroom, private bathroom and spacious closet are linked together by sliding doors, offering a constant redefinition – or complete removal – of boundaries.

With walls dominated by white tints, a retractable lighting system, and the same oak herringbone parquet on the floor, continuity is ensured for the whole environment. The bold, extra-large furniture and a strongly geometric decor give a cohesive feel to the project.

It’s the perfect balance between comfort and elegance.
